Gary D. Bigelow

1942 - 2003 

Gary Bigelow passed away on Saturday March 29th 2003. Gary arrived at the station for his tour of duty and a short time later was taken to the Glens Falls Hospital where he succumbed to a heart attack. Gary taught kindergarten, fourth and sixth grade at Queensbury Union Free School from 1969 until his retirement in 1997. He served on the Lake George Town and Village Police Departments from 1968 until 1974. 

From February 1974 until his death he served as a member of our Department. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and fly tying. He is survived by his wife and two children.
